1/4 cup chopped walnuts
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup canola oil

1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup milk
3 tsp vinegar
2 cortland applepeeled cut in 1/4 inch

LET'S START:
Prepare. Grease a small muffin pan with butter and flour.
Cut, core, peel apples and cut in 1/4 inch cubes.
Pour 3 tsp of vinegar in a measuring then add milk until 3/4 cup.
Let sit for 10 minutes. It turns into buttermilk. Preheat oven 400°F.
SECOND:
Combine. In a small bowl combine walnuts, brown sugar, cinnamon mix it well. Set aside for later.
In a medium bowl combine flour, wholewheat flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Whisk well.
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, canola oil, apple sauce and vanilla extract.
THIRD:
Mix and fold. Add flour mixture and milk into the egg mixture. Mix it.
Add apple cubes and just fold them in.
BAKE THEM.
Bake them. Fill dough into prepared muffin pan using a tablespoon.
Sprinkle sugar mixture on top.
Bake them about 15 minutes or insert wooden skewer in the center if come out clean it’s done.
Let cool and take them out of the mold.
