Prepare. Place milk. butter, honey in a small sauce pan.
Let it melt over medium heat.
SECOND:
Transfer and add. Transfer to a large bowl.
Let it cool to lukewarm.
If it is too hot the yeast will not work. Add yeast.
Let it sit for 8 minutes.
THIRD:
Add and combine. Add eggs, salt, raisin and mix it with a folk.
Add flour and mix to combine.
If the dough is too sticky, add more flour.
FOURTH:
Knead and rest. Put the dough onto a flat floured surface.
Knead it with your hand for 10 minutes.
Oil the bowl.
Place the dough back into the oiled bowl.
Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let rise for 90 minutes or double in size.
FIFTH:
Melt and roll. Make the filling:
In a small pan melt the butter, add sugar, cinnamon and salt.
Mix it and set aside.
Take out the dough and place it onto a flat floured surface.
Roll the dough into a rectangle, size 15x9.
Spread the filling on it.
SIXTH:
Roll and rest. Roll it short side up tightly.
Put the dough a parchment paper lined loaf pan seam side down.
Tucking the ends under.
Cover the loaf pan and let rise again for 45 minutes.
BAKE IT!
Bake it. Preheat oven to 400°F.
Brush egg wash on top of the dough.
Bake it for 10 minutes.
Lower the heat to 350°F.
Bake it for another 20-30 minutes.
Remove the loaf pan let it cool on a rack.
SERVE IT.
