8 tbsp butterroom temperature
1/4 cup sugar
pinch salt
3/4 cup flour
1/3 cup kinako | きなこ | Green Pea Powder

LET'S START:
Prepare. Cut butter into small cubes. Let it sit so butter is at room temperature.
Prepared parchment paper lined baking sheet.
SECOND:
Combine it. Place butter, sugar, salt in a medium bowl.
Mix it well with wood spoon or spatula.
Add flour and kinako.
Use your hands to work the butter into the flour mixture until dough comes together.
This might take a while, but it is so worth it.
THIRD:
Shape it. Put dough onto floured, flat surface and shape it into a 7 inches long roll.
Wrap this roll with plastic wrap.
Then roll it a few times to compact the dough a bit more.
Rest your dough in the refrigerator for one hour.
FOURTH:
Cut cookies. Preheat oven to 350°F.
Unwrap dough and cut it in 1/4 inch thin slices.
You now have cookies! Place the cookies onto the prepared baking sheet.
BAKE THEM!
Bake them. Bake them for 15 minutes.
Let them cool on rack.
