8 tbsp butter room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs room temperature
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
Cream the butter and sugar in a medium bowl with a hand mixer for 2-3 minutes or until fluffy.
SECOND:
Add, beat and fold. Add an egg at a time.
Keep beating.
Sift flour, baking powder, salt into the egg mixture.
Fold with a spatula.
THIRD:
Add more. Add milk, lemon juice and vanilla extract.
Combine all using a spatula.
BAKE IT!
Pour and bake it. Pour the batter into prepared pan.
Bake it for 40-50 minutes.
Or insert a skewer in the middle, when it comes out clean the cake is done.
Meanwhile make the glazing.
FIFTH:
Make the glazing. Add sugar, lemon juice in a small saucepan over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
Or, while the cake is baking, put saucepan in the oven to save energy.
Be careful when taking out the saucepan. Panhandle will be extremely hot!
SIXTH
Glaze it. Take cake out from the oven.
Let it cool for 10 minutes then remove from the pan.
When the cake is still warm, brush the glazing all over the cake.
