1/4 cup hot water
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup flour
1 tbsp matcha powder
3/4 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
For the filling:
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tsp matcha
1 tsp sugar
Prepare: Preheat oven 350°F.
In a bowl add an egg, milk, oil, vanilla extract.
Whisk it well.
SECOND:
Add and whisk: Sift flour, matcha powder, baking powder, baking soda directly into the egg mixture.
Add sugar and salt.
Keep whisking until smooth batter.
THIRD:
Add and ix: Add boiling water.
Mix well.
BAKE IT!
Pour and bake it. Pour the batter into the cake pan.
Bake it for 30-35 minutes.
Take the cake out from oven let it cool for 10 minutes.
Then remove it from the cake pan and let it cool on a wire rack.
FIFTH:
Assemble it. Place heavy cream, sugar, matcha in a small bowl.
Using hand mixer beat it until stiff peak.
When the cake is completely cooled down use sharp knife to cut it horizontal in a half.
Spread the half of filling with a spatula on the bottom half. Put top half back on.
Other half of the filling on top of the cake.
Sprinkle matcha powder on top.
